Why Not Have Kittens DJ Your Next Party?

Everybody in the house put your hands up! We’ve got a new DJ in town and this one is wreaking havoc on DJ systems everywhere. But fear not, these DJs are easy on the eyes and seem to be having a lot of fun at what they do. They also come at a good price – wet food. So if you’re planning a party, think about having Kittens as your DJ. Kittens? Yes. And rumor has it that kittens can make good bouncers too, if needed.

Kitten Gets Tackled While Playing

If you saw the video we posted a several weeks ago called Christmas Kittens then you are already familiar with the kittens in this video. At Christmastime I was filming the kittens playing. Kink was obsessed with a Santa hat and liked to get under it. So I was filming while he was under it and Kanai was playing with the top white fluffy ball on top of the hat. Kink emerges from the hat and starts to walk off with Kanai still playing in the background. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Dedos comes bounding in, grabs Kanai around the neck, and tackles him backwards. It’s quite funny, especially when you slow it down and go in closer on it as happens in this video.

You’ll be pleased to know that all three rescue kitties in this video (and the fourth one – Katmai – not seen) were adopted by loving families over a three week period.

Kitten Wants into Washing Machine to Play

(Funny Cat Videos) This is a funny cat video of a kitten that wants into a front loading washing machine to play with the clothes that are being washed. After all, it looks like a lot of fun in there. Look at all the spinning things it can chase!

This year one of the five videos feature a kitten (Kitten Can’t Jump); one does an effective job at encouraging you to wear your seat belt (Embrace Life); one was a spoof of The Social Network movie trailer (The YouTube Network); another one was one of the most creative music videos ever made… in one shot (OK GO – This Too Shall Pass) and the grand daddy of them all sports a man in a towel…

About the Winner: The Old Spice TV spot not only won critical acclaim from ad agencies, but the team used YouTube to continue to ride the wave of success. The Old Spice man would don his towel and answer questions from YouTubers that would be posted on YouTube. It was a brilliant strategy and helped Old Spice increase the product lifeline effectiveness of the commercial. There have also been more than 100 YouTube spoofs of the commercial.

Christmas Kittens Video

(December 19, 2010 – January 8, 2011 – see updates below) I’m a cat foster parent, so when cats or kittens are in need of a foster home, I’m one of many volunteers that are called upon in Oregon. The group of kittens in this video I’ve now had for two weeks and none have yet been adopted. So I put together this video to raise awareness of these kittens while trying to make it entertaining at the same time. Actually, the kittens do a good enough job of entertaining without my input.

In this video, four kittens go to bed on Christmas Eve and wake up to the wonder of Christmas Day and the presents that await them. And like normal kittens, they do a great job of turning an organized area into a disaster zone. Merry Catmus.

Update #1: On December 20, the day after posting this video, Katmai was adopted by a couple that live in Washington as a Christmas gift for their daughter.

Update #2: On 12/23 Dedos was adopted by a couple as a Christmas gift for the girlfriend. When she saw Dedos, she fell instantly in love with him.

Update #3: Kanai – the one we thought would go first because of her unique “doll face” look was adopted on January 6, 2011 by a college student. That leaves Kink (the one with a kink in his tail) and Angelena (the mother of the litter). A couple is scheduled to look at Kink on Saturday. If that works out then all four kittens that starred in this video will have been successfully adopted.

Update #4: Kink, the one with a kink in his tail, was adopted by a young couple on January 8, 2011. That means that all the kittens that appeared in this video have now been adopted!!!! Only mommy is left (adopting out cats is much harder than kittens).
