(Short Films) SPIN is a great short film that has won more than 40 awards at various film festivals across the world. It’s about a mysterious DJ that appears at the scene of an accident and uses his DJ tools to manipulate time and matter in order to change the situation. The short film was made in 2003, premiering at USC on January 15, 2004. The film has different meanings for everyone, which is what makes it so strong. Some who are religious may see the DJ as God. The Intent of the Filmmakers
The intent of the filmmakers was to show a man trying to control his own destiny after the fact. The bicyclist that is struck by the car and dies comes back as the DJ in order to try and change his fate. But upon changing his fate, he makes the overall situation at the scene worst and decides to work with the scene until everything is just perfect… or near perfect.
