Recently, Charlie Sheen attacked his Two and a Half Men co-star, Jon Cryer, by saying that Jon Cryer is a troll. In one of Sheen’s hate-filled attack speeches, he slammed Cryer calling him names, the most notable one being “a troll”. To respond to that hate-filled attack, Jon Cryer recently went on the Conan O’Brien show and painfully admitted to the studio and TV audience that Charlie Sheen is right and he is, indeed, a troll. Ok, we’ve tried to avoid it but cannot any longer – the subject of “Charlie Sheen”. Charlie Sheen has dominated the news for weeks with his strange interviews and actions. He signed up for a Twitter account and broke the World Record for the most Twitter followers in 24 hours. He has 2 million followers and counting. Today he was in the news again after he was officially fired from Warner Bros. and the Two and a Half Men production (which will apparently continue without him). The video below is the opening monologue / act by Ricky Gervais for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards that was held in Beverly Hills on Sunday, January 16. Gervais has faced a lot of heat and criticism for his hosting of the Golden Globe Awards this year. According to the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, “He definitely crossed the line. Some of the things were totally unacceptable.”
But the Golden Globe Awards producers seem to like the controversy as this is the second time that Gervais has been asked to host the Golden Globe Awards. Yesterday on The Early Show, 15 Minutes PR CEO Howard Bragman said, “His job is called host. A host is there to make you feel comfortable. A host is there to make guests really have the great moments. We didn’t see that this year. We’re talking about the host. And I think we should be talking about nominees and the winners instead.”
